Prices are indicative, aggregated from our own overview of 30+ sports venues in Prague on SportovištěPraha.cz (2025/2026). Always verify the exact current price with the specific operator, prices change over time and many venues have multiple price bands depending on the time of day.
The cheapest option is a single entry to the climbing wall and an hour of squash; conversely, the most expensive is an hour on a padel or tennis court in the hall during peak times. The differences are logical: the climbing wall is paid for as an entry per person, whereas a padel, tennis or squash court is usually booked as a whole and the cost shared among the players.
How we calculated the prices
The ranges in the table are neither estimates nor averages; they represent the actual lowest and highest prices listed across the sports facilities we record for each sport in Prague. If a specific club lists only a price "from", we treat this as the lower limit; if it provides a full price range (typically based on time of day or court type), we also consider its upper limit. The actual amount you pay will therefore almost always fall within this range, but the exact figure for a specific date can only be confirmed by the operator themselves.
What influences the price most
- Daily operating hours - Morning and afternoon appointments outside peak hours are significantly cheaper than evening slots between 17:00 and 21:00, when it is also hardest to find an available appointment.
- Indoor hall or outdoor court - in tennis, the difference between outdoor clay courts and all-year indoor halls is noticeable; halls are often hundreds of Kč more expensive per hour.
- Number of players on the court - For padel (four players) or doubles tennis, the cost per person is significantly lower than when the same price is split between just two squash players.
- Student and season ticket holder prices - some squash centres in Prague offer discounted rates for students and more favourable memberships for regular players, which can significantly reduce the indicative price.
A few practical tips for saving on sports in Prague: play in the morning or early afternoon instead of the evening peak, ask directly when booking about student or membership rates, and for team sports (padel, tennis doubles) consider whether it pays to find a fourth player to split the court cost further.
Sport to sport
Padel It is the most expensive per court hour in our records, but it is played with four players as standard, so the cost per player often comes out similar to other sports. You can find more information in the article. Padel for beginners in Prague.
Tennis It has the widest price range of all sports in the overview: from clay courts in tennis clubs to year-round halls where the hourly rate approaches the upper limit of padel.
Badminton and squash are among the more affordable sports and at the same time offer the most venues to choose from in Prague: a detailed comparison can be found in the article. padel, squash or badminton?
CrossFit The fee is not for the court but for training or access to the boxing ring: the price usually includes supervision by a coach, which explains why it is higher than, for example, badminton.
Rope access work emerges as the cheapest item in the overview, entry to a climbing wall or bouldering area in Prague ranges approximately from 120 to 160 Kč. How to choose a specific wall is described in the article. how to choose a climbing wall in Prague.
When you look at the figures as a whole, you can also see why people often change their sport depending on price throughout the year, in winter they switch from outdoor clay courts to indoor tennis or from padel to cheaper squash, and in summer they return to outdoor courts where the offer is wider and prices are lower. Keeping an eye on indicative price ranges for several sports at once is therefore useful even for people who like variety and do not want to stick to a single activity all year round.
